Under the dynamic leadership of Thailand Conventions Exhibitions Bureau (TCEB), Thailand will stage the Asian version of International Air Show, on a grand scale as held in the alternate years at the Farnborough International Airshow (UK).
The inauguration of the 1st International Air Show at the U-Tapao Airport is expected to take place on 2023. This initiative is a part of driving force to create business openings in 12 key industries under Thailand 4.0 model to attract the world’s most iconic events, including aviation.

“TCEB had recently commissioned UK-based Farnborough International to conduct a ‘Thailand International Airshow feasibility study’ for staging the show at U-Tapao Rayong Pattaya International Airport in the Thai government’s ‘Thailand 4.0 – EEC’ (Eastern Economic Corridor) initiative.
Mrs. Nichapa Yoswee, TCEB’s Senior Vice President – Business said “The study is now complete, covering the global overview, regional market potential, industry feedback, competitive landscape, Thailand’s EEC development and the government’s Thailand 4.0 initiative. It also offers recommendations for Thailand to stage the event and economic impacts.”
On domestic front, TCEB held industry hearing among stakeholders of the local aviation industry, both in the public and private sector, to identify Thailand’s potential and strength in staging air show and its economic impacts”.

ผลการศึกษาโดย Farnborough InternationalและIndustry Hearing ระดับประเทศชูศักยภาพไทยเป็นศูนย์กลางการบินแห่งภูมิภาคขานรับนโยบาย 4.0
สำนักงานส่งเสริมการจัดประชุมและนิทรรศการ (องค์การมหาชน) หรือทีเส็บเผยผลการศึกษาความเป็นไปได้และผลจาก Industry Hearing ระบุศักยภาพประเทศไทยพร้อมจัดงาน‘แอร์โชว์’งานแสดงนวัตกรรมอากาศยานระดับโลกสอดคล้องนโยบาย 4.0 โดยการดึงงานใหญ่ระดับโลกมาจัดขึ้นในประเทศไทยสนับสนุนสร้างโอกาสธุรกิจใน 12 อุตสาหกรรมเป้าหมายพิเศษซึ่งรวมถึงอุตสาหกรรมการบิน
ทีเส็บได้ดำเนินการให้ Farnborough International จากสหราชอาณาจักรเป็นผู้ศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ของประเทศไทยในการเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงานแอร์โชว์นานาชาติ (Thailand International Airshow feasibility study) และดำเนินการจัดทำ Industry Hearing กับผู้มีส่วนได้เสียของประเทศไทยในอุตสาหกรรมการบินเพื่อศึกษาศักยภาพของประเทศไทยในกํารจัดงาน Thailand International Airshow ณ ท่าอากาศยานนานาชาติอู่ตะเภา ระยอง–พัทยาภายในโครงการเขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออก (อีอีซี)
นางนิชาภา ยศวีร์ รองผู้อำนวยการทีเส็บ สายงานธุรกิจกล่าวว่า “ทีเส็บได้ดำเนินการศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ในการจัดงานแอร์โชว์นานาชาติประเทศไทยเสร็จสิ้นสมบูรณ์แล้ว โดยครอบคุลมเนื้อหาในด้านต่างๆ คือภาพรวมการจัดงานแอร์โชว์ทั่วโลก ศักยภาพของตลาดในระดับภูมิภาคโครงการอีอีซีของประเทศไทยและโมเดลพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจของรัฐบาลไทยแลนด์ 4.0 ซึ่งผลการศึกษานี้ยังได้กลั่นกรองและให้ข้อเสนอแนะสำหรับประเทศไทยในการเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงานแอร์โชว์รวมทั้งการคาดการณ์ผลทางเศรษฐกิจ”
ในระดับประเทศ ทีเส็บยังได้ดำเนินการจัดทำ Industry Hearing กับผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียในอุตสําหกรรมการบินของประเทศไทยทุกภาคส่วน ทั้งภาครัฐและภาคเอกชน เพื่อกลั่นกรองและประมวลอย่างเป็นระบบถึงศักยภาพและจุดแข็งของประเทศไทยในการเป็นเจ้าภาพการจัดงานแอร์โชว์นานาชาติรวมถึงการคาดการณ์ผลทางเศรษฐกิจอันจะเกิดขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องจากการจัดงานนี้
“อุตสาหกรรมการบินเป็นอุตสาหกรรมหลักภายใต้เป้าหมายของรัฐบาลไทยในการยกระดับให้ประเทศไทยเป็น Aerotropolis คือทั้งเป็นศูนย์กลางการบินแห่งภูมิภาคและศูนย์กลางการซ่อมบำรุงอากาศยานและโลจิสติกส์แห่งใหม่ในภูมิภาคอาเซียนสอดคล้องกับแผนการพัฒนาท่าอากาศยานอู่ตะเภาในเขตอีอีซี”
